In India, millions of people face the same frustrating experience every day: they need a specific medicine urgently, but finding which nearby pharmacy has it in stock means hours of calls and visits — with no guarantee of success.
At the same time, thousands of local pharmacies struggle to reach new customers and compete with large chains, even though they have the medicine and the capability to serve their neighborhoods well.
UpcharMitra was founded to fix this mismatch. We started with LocalPill — a platform that bridges the gap between patients who need medicine and pharmacies that have it. We began in Patna, Bihar, because that is where the gap is widest and the impact is greatest.
This is just the beginning. Our goal is to build a suite of products that address every major gap in Indian healthcare — from medicine availability to doctor consultations to diagnostics.
