Seed funding from Startup Bihar
In April 2025, the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, selected UpcharMitra for seed funding under the Bihar Startup Policy 2022.
UpcharMitra has since received the seed fund. Startup Bihar is the Government of Bihar's programme for startups, run by the Department of Industries.

UpcharMitra Healthtech Private Limited is an Indian healthcare company working to make everyday healthcare easier to reach. Its first product, LocalPill, lets people ask the medical stores near them for a medicine all at once, and medical stores answer through the LocalPill Partner app. LocalPill launched in June 2026 and works across India, wherever medical stores have joined. Founded in July 2025 by Ajit Kumar and headquartered in Patna, UpcharMitra is recognised as a startup by DPIIT, Government of India.
